Flexography is a specific type of printing process done with a particular kind of relief plate. It is sometimes referred to as a “rotary” print method, or a modern type of letterpress print method. Flexography is one modern choice for the mass manufacturing of printed materials.

With flexography, project managers put a film negative over a plate and expose it to UV light. A computer-guided tool etches an image onto the plate, and then the plate is molded. For printing, ink is transferred to the plate and excess ink is eliminated. A quick drying process allows for clear results.
