Their ability is further evidenced through multiple preview scenes which have shown that the central character is stronger than any other regular witch or wizard.
Because of their uncanny power, fans are now asking who exactly the protagonist is in the game. Here’s all that we know about Hogwarts Legacy’s main character.
Who is the main character in Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogwarts Legacy’s protagonist is a fifth year student who has the ability to control a mysterious form of ancient magic. Before the start of the game, you’ll be able to fully customize their appearance based on your preferences.
They will also apparently be starting at the school late after their acceptance letter was delayed, though the reason for this is unknown at the time of writing. Throughout their stay at the prestigious wizarding academy, they will also be trained by a powerful wizard named Eleazar Fig.
Some Reddit users are speculating that the main character could be a descendant of Merlin because of multiple references shown throughout various trailers so far. One specific post seems to be convinced that this is the case, saying that “Merlin’s connection is constantly shown; his history of controlling dragons, attending Hogwarts, and now his descendant, the main character.”
A response under the same post seems to think that the post creator’s theory is plausible, noting that “Merlin is referenced throughout the Harry Potter books,” and has “established mythology to build on for an original storyline.”
